LEVENBETTS is led by principals David Leven and Stella Betts.
David Leven, FAIA, received a Bachelor of Arts from Colgate University and a Master of Architecture from Yale University. He also studied at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in New York. Currently David is a full-time Professor at Parsons the New School for Design. From 2008–2011, David was the Director of the Graduate Architecture Program at Parsons. He has also taught at Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art and Planning, University of Virginia School of Architecture, City College’s School of Architecture, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture and Syracuse University’s School of Architecture. David served on the Executive Board of Directors at the AIA New York Chapter from 2019–2021.
Stella Betts, Associate AIA, received a Bachelor of Arts from Connecticut College and a Master of Architecture from Harvard University’s Graduate School for Design. Stella is currently a Senior Critic at Yale University's School of Architecture. Previously she taught at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Cornell University's College of Architecture, Art and Planning, University of Virginia School of Architecture, The Cooper Union School of Architecture, Parsons the New School for Design and Syracuse University’s School of Architecture. In 2020, Stella was awarded the New Generation Leader by Architectural Record's Women in Architecture Annual Award. Stella serves on the Executive Board of Directors of the Architectural League of New York.
